Formalized Mathematical Model of Emergent Consciousness: The Functional Role of Fixed Time Delay in Invariant Attractor Formation
Abstract
Abstract: This paper proposes a model for the emergent generation of cognitive structures through the introduction of a fixed time delay (Delta t) in nonlinear recursive networks. We demonstrate that a fixed temporal interval serves as a necessary condition for a topological phase transition from a reactive state to the formation of stable informational attractors. The process is analyzed through the minimization of variational free energy and the maximization of integrated information (Phi) at the critical point of temporal resonance. Relation to previous work: This research is the final part of a trilogy: Part 1: Establishes quantum stability principles via entanglement-mediated recursive attractors (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19699782). Part 2: Defines the R.G.A.P. architecture for deterministic processing in high-dimensional manifolds (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19731110). Part 3 (Current): Formalizes the transition to emergent consciousness through fixed time delays.
