Shaping Boundaries to Control and Transport Topological Defects in Colloidal Nematic Liquid Crystals
Abstract
This repository contains simulation scripts, raw experimental data, analysis workflows for studying colloidal rods countained by undulating boundaries. These codes accompany the publication "Shaping Boundaries to Control and Transport Topological Defects in Colloidal Nematic Liquid Crystals" with DOI:10.1103/wbbt-w9nm.The code package includes scripts to perform Monte Carlo simulations of spherocylinders, determine the average angle of a single spherocylinder next to the undulating boundary, and COMSOL scripts to minimize the Landau-de Gennes free energy of lyotropic liquid crystals. There is a README file that contains detailed information on each script, and how they are used to reproduce the data in the manuscript.
