palimpsestr 0.24.1 Bug-fix release. It fixes the check ERROR reported on the r-devel Debian flavours of the CRAN daily checks. No user-facing API or model change: fit_sef() and every diagnostic behave exactly as in 0.24.0. Bug fixes export_sef_report() no longer renders the bundled RMarkdown template in place. rmarkdown::render() writes its intermediate files (*.knit.md, figure directories) next to the input document, so rendering the template where it is installed meant writing inside the R library. That violates the CRAN Policy rule that packages must not write anywhere outside the R session's temporary directory, and it fails outright when the library is read-only — as it now is on the CRAN Debian check machines, where PDF/DOCX rendering silently degraded to the markdown + PNG fallback bundle. The template is now copied into a per-call temporary directory and rendered there; the directory is removed on exit. Nothing is written outside tempdir(). Tests Two regression tests were added: the staged template must live under tempdir() and outside system.file(package = "palimpsestr"), and rmarkdown::render() must be called on the staged copy rather than on the installed file. Verified by installing the package into a library made read-only (chmod -R a-w) and running the full suite against it — 0 failures, 406 passing.
