Data for the 2025 Mw 7.6 Aomori-Oki, Japan, Earthquake Sequence: Relocated Hypocenters and Rupture Models

This dataset contains supporting datasets for the manuscript entitled “The 2025 Mw 7.6 Aomori-Oki Megathrust Sequence and a Slip-Parallel Seismic Belt to the Trench.” Dataset S1 provides the relocated hypocenter catalog. Datasets S2 and S3 contain the slip distributions for the Mw 7.6 mainshock derived from teleseismic and regional data, respectively. Datasets S4 and S5 contain the slip distributions for the Mw 6.7 (Dec. 12) and Mw 6.6 (Dec. 9) aftershocks. In all datasets, variable definitions are provided in the respective header lines.
