Abstract

Constraint-based taxonomy of biological structural strategies under environmental forcing. Defines a finite set of structural responses (internalisation, externalisation, borrowing, construction, attachment, distribution, elimination, occupation, merging, co-construction, and design) and demonstrates closure across six environmental force classes (wind, flow, impact, vibration, thermal, chemical). Includes a complete force × strategy matrix, falsifiability conditions, and cross-domain mappings to reproduction, parasitism, cooperation, and human systems. Keywords: theoretical biologybiomechanicsstructural biologyevolutionary constraintssystems theoryenvironmental forcestaxonomyresiliencebiomimetics Note: This work proposes a provisional closure of the biological structural response space under environmental forcing. The closure claim is empirical and falsifiable; no counterexample has been identified within the evaluated domain.
