Abstract

Version 1.1 – Major Update: Integrated Multi-Sensor Framework with Interactive UI This version introduces a comprehensive update to the Google Earth Engine (GEE) code by integrating five different satellite data sources into a single, unified workflow. The updated framework now supports Sentinel-2, Landsat 8, Sentinel-1 SAR, Copernicus DEM, and a Sentinel-1 + Sentinel-2 fusion approach, all accessible within one script. A key enhancement is the implementation of an interactive user interface (UI) within GEE. This interface allows users to dynamically select the sensor type, adjust processing parameters, and apply different shoreline extraction methods without modifying the core code. Sensor-specific configurations (e.g., spectral indices for optical data and backscatter thresholds for SAR data) are automatically adapted based on the selected dataset. The integration of multiple sensors into a single platform provides a more flexible and scalable solution for coastal analysis. In addition, the inclusion of a fusion-based approach enables users to combine the strengths of optical and SAR data, improving robustness under varying environmental conditions. This update significantly enhances the usability, reproducibility, and transferability of the workflow, allowing users to adapt the tool to different study areas and coastal settings.
