The Digital Transit of Coercion: Industrialization, Distribution, and the Emerging Architecture of Remote Violence
Abstract
This note advances a single structural argument: coercive capability has undergone a digital transit. What was once a scarce resource, concentrated in states and large criminal organizations, has become modular, scalable, and increasingly available as a service. This transit proceeds through two interdependent transformations — the industrialization of remote behavioral coercion and the formation of distributed violence markets — which together constitute a new architecture of remote violence. The note identifies these transformations, defines their key structural features, and draws implications for security analysis and governance.
