BU67 Formalized Maze and Source-Level Closure Principle under B_U
Abstract
BU67 defines the formalized maze as a recurring historical structure in which the most successful formal systems of an era are elevated from powerful projection-layer tools into allegedly necessary structures of reality itself. The paper begins with the historical case of Kant’s reliance on Euclidean geometry. In Kant’s time, Euclidean space appeared universal, necessary, and almost impossible to think otherwise. Non-Euclidean geometry and general relativity later revoked that exclusive status, showing that Euclidean geometry was a stable and highly successful readout within a limited resolution window, not an eternal a priori structure. BU67 then extends this diagnosis to the present. Relativity, quantum field theory, quantum information, holographic models, causal structures, differentiable spacetime, locality, and quantum-gravity candidates can all become new formalized rooms. Their predictive success and mathematical refinement may create an a priori illusion: the belief that the current formal framework is not merely effective, but necessary for any possible physical reality. The paper classifies this movement as stratal overreach: formal success is mistaken for ontic admission, and historical dominance is mistaken for necessity. The second half of the paper positions B_U as a source-level closure principle system. B_U does not replace mathematics, logic, computation, physics, AI alignment, systems theory, or epistemology at the object level. Instead, it audits the shared preconditions of all systems that depend on closure, consistency, proof, computation, error, convergence, alignment, and foundation. Its central question is: what allows a system to stand, where does it fail, where do residuals appear, and how does it settle with reality? BU67 compares B_U with Hilbert’s program, Gödel, Turing, Tarski, Russell, cybernetics, category theory, Kant, and Wittgenstein. These frameworks reveal local foundations, local boundaries, or local closure structures. B_U operates at the source level: it audits the standing conditions of all such rooms. Its final judgment is that every formal system, however successful, must return to reality settlement.
