Threshold Model of the Strong Interaction Based on Phase Synchronization of Topological Solitons
Abstract
A dynamical interpretation of the strong interaction is proposed as a phase resonance regime (phase-locking) between localized field excitations — topological solitons. The coupling force is determined by the square of the Compton frequency of the oscillator: F_sync = m^2 c^3 / h. It is shown that the ratio F_sync / F_Coulomb is approximately 500 for the proton and 1.5 × 10^{-4} for the electron, which quantitatively explains the absence of strong interaction in leptons without introducing color charge. The model makes a specific, falsifiable prediction: the tau lepton (R ≈ 0.51) lies near the phase-locking threshold and should exhibit anomalies in nuclear scattering. Current limitations include the scalar nature of the force and the absence of spin dependence. The model offers an intuitive mechanistic approach to nuclear forces with a natural mass threshold separating the hadronic and leptonic sectors.
