Abstract

PrismID is a selective identity disclosure protocol, part of the Prism Ecosystem. Instead of uploading an identity document, a user proves a specific claim — such as "16 or older" — without sharing name, date of birth, BSN, or address. The platform receives only a cryptographic yes or no. Nothing else. This document demonstrates two complete flows using a social media onboarding scenario (Instagram). Flow A shows a user aged 16 proving eligibility directly. Flow B shows a user aged 14 obtaining access through a verified parental consent claim issued by a parent via their own PrismID wallet. In both cases: no personal data reaches the platform. The proof is generated on the user's device and never leaves it. PrismID is part of the broader Prism Protocol architecture, which combines WebAuthn, Zero-Knowledge Proofs, and Privacy Pass tokens to enable privacy-native authentication.
