Abstract

This package includes all the scripts that were used for measuring the extinction curves and the analysis in the manuscript entitled, ``A Detailed Analysis of Intermediate-Scale Structure in Optical Extinction Curves: Expanded Census and Two-Family Classification`` by Chamani M. Gunasekera, et al. The main scripts in the repository, that was used in the analysis of the manuscript are as follows: FitModel.py - runs first the optimizer then runs mcmc to fit data to models and saves the fits, figures, and best fit stellar parameters in various folders within this repository. create_ext_curve.py - reads in stellar parameters save by FitModel.py, to create an extinction curve. fit_ext_curves.py - reads in the extinction curve created using create_ext_curve.py, and fits the curve with a 4th order polynomial for the optical part and FM90 model for the UV part. stack_iss.py - uses the fit_ext() routine in fit_ext_curves.py with the option to extract only residuals, and stacks the extinction fit residuals for the list of targets, then makes plots with labeled ISS features.
