Abstract

ADR-002: Genesis ODE — Experimental Branch Governance & Module Admission Protocol establishes the operational governance architecture for all experimental branches associated with the Genesis ODE v0.4.2 ecosystem and future substrate-indexed extensions. Building directly upon the constitutional boundary framework introduced in ADR-001, this document defines the formal procedures governing: experimental branch classification, module admission standards, validation requirements, telemetry discipline, interoperability constraints, rollback triggers, and branch-promotion criteria. ADR-002 introduces a four-lane governance architecture separating: Lane A: Core-Compatible Engineering, Lane B: Cybernetic / Information-Theory Modeling, Lane C: Applied Materials & Wave Coupling, Lane D: Interpretive Sandbox Systems. This layered governance structure is designed to preserve: inspectability, falsifiability, adversarial tractability, evidence-tier separation, and explicit non-claim boundariesacross heterogeneous experimental domains. The document establishes mandatory governance metadata for all experimental modules, including: lane assignment, lifecycle status, evidence tier, claim boundaries, rollback conditions, validation contracts, and telemetry requirements. A major contribution of ADR-002 is the formal separation between: executable nonlinear systems modeling, cybernetic and information-theory simulations, applied materials and wave-coupling studies, and symbolic or interpretive exploratory overlays. The protocol also introduces explicit branch lifecycle states such as: SANDBOX, PROTOTYPE, VALIDATED-STRUCTURAL, CALIBRATION-CANDIDATE, CORE-REVIEW, and ARCHIVED,providing a typed maturity framework for experimental Genesis modules. ADR-002 further formalizes: telemetry isolation rules, metadata-vs-dynamics separation, translation/interoperability governance, and rollback procedures intended to prevent ontology inflation, symbolic contamination, and silent evidentiary inheritance. The document should be understood as a systems-governance artifact and experimental simulation-management framework rather than a scientific theory itself. Its primary purpose is to support bounded, inspectable, and adversarially reviewable nonlinear systems research across multiple interacting experimental substrates. ADR-002 functions as the active operational governance layer for all Genesis ODE experimental branches unless superseded by a later ADR revision.
