Abstract

Standalone specification of the Composition Divergence Index (CDI), a scalar measurement instrument quantifying the gap between organic search resolution strength and composed answer admission strength for a target entity. CDI is the operationalization of the Entity-Level Compositional Suppression (ECS) hypothesis. Computed against a specified comparison substrate (default: top-N organic results), CDI ranges from 0 (parity) to 1 (maximal divergence). Includes the May 19, 2026 worked example for entity 'Lee Sharks' on Google AI Mode (CDI = 1.0). Extracted from The Excluded Entity to provide a citable standalone protocol. Registered as RA-PROT-0010 in the Restored Academy Protocol Registry, Tier 0, Category III.
