Abstract

PHSpectra is a Python package for parameter-free decomposition of 1D radio spectral lines using persistent homology. It detects emission peaks as 0-dimensional topological features in the upper-level-set filtration of a spectrum and ranks them by persistence relative to the noise level, yielding a single-parameter model (the persistence threshold beta). The package accompanies the manuscript Vera-Ciro (2026, AJ).
