Abstract

This release accompanies the peer-reviewed manuscript "Genetic trade-offs in fertility and longevity explain the maintenance of disease-associated alleles in humans" published in Nature Ecology & Evolution. It contains the code and associated materials used to analyze genetic trade-offs between disease risk, fertility, and longevity across 62 diseases, including analyses of disease-associated alleles, natural selection, Mendelian randomisation, and polygenic risk. This archived version is intended to support reproducibility and citation of the repository together with the published article.
