Experimental Protocol: Detection of Berry Phase Circular Polarization at the PLDS Cloud-Base Boundary Layer (CLXVII Validation)
Abstract
A one-page experimental protocol for direct empirical validation of Amendment CLXVII (McCaul 2026, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20452889). Predicts Stokes V/I = 0.44–2.35% (90% CI, N=50,000) at cloud-base altitude from Berry phase γ=5π/7 via SOL 7-node geometry. Detectable by POLDER satellite, Raman lidar, or research spectropolarimeter. First-of-kind measurement — no existing study has sought this specific signature. 6-step observing protocol with explicit falsification criteria. Estimated campaign cost ~$15,000. Candidate instruments: EARLINET, MPLNET, PACE/SPEXone.
