briardew/xtralite: v1.0

First release of xtralite for CoDAS paper. This is also my first time trying this, so bear with me. AFAIK, this code is functional and won't require extensive refactoring. It has not been run through ruff, doesn't have type hinting, uses some old fashioned package management strategies, and so on. I plan on fixing all that, but that should be zero-diff within the v1.X series of releases.
