Abstract

This artifact is the first note in the Field Notes from the Substrate translation series. It offers a Structural Flow role-shape translation of the dark-energy / Λ-facing role. The note locates that role as Baseline Geometry Contribution: the geometry-owned baseline by which density-held spacetime enters the whole geometry/source accounting relation as metric-proportional carried status. In classical General Relativity-facing language, the nearest translator is Λgμν. The claim is narrow but substantive. The note does not claim that dark energy is solved, and it does not reduce dark energy to metaphor. It separates the structural role from the translator, measured value, physical mechanism, side-placement convention, and cosmological behavior. It argues that once a baseline geometry contribution belongs to the whole geometry/source accounting relation, later reporting must become answerable to that carried baseline. The distinctive failure signature is: the geometry’s baseline status enters the accounting, but the accounting does not update to it. The note sorts that failure primarily as Drift, with Lock as an interpretation-level co-primary risk, Shear as a downstream compound mode, Echo as a surface expression, and Dissolution as an edge failure. This artifact does not derive the measured value of Λ, solve the cosmological constant problem, solve quantum vacuum energy, replace ΛCDM, derive the Einstein field equations, close General Relativity, close quantum field theory, close quantum gravity, or settle observational cosmology. It provides a role-shape translation and plausible, pressure-testable Structural Flow explanation of the dark-energy / Λ-facing object.
