Abstract

This visual companion to Ordering Case Notes No.02 maps the distinction between gravity load and the managed-variable condition as two forms of continuation after the carrying logic has changed. The figure contrasts the SoftBank–WeWork case, where continuation reflects accumulated commitment weight, with the Google-in-Europe case sequence, where continuation reflects managed exposure. It shows that continuation does not always mean confidence: it may mean accumulated weight, or it may mean that an actor remains useful while its discretion is narrowed. The map serves as a bridge between Ordering Case Notes No.02, “SoftBank, WeWork, and the Weight of Reasonable Commitments: When Exit Is More Expensive Than Continuation,” and the next case note on Google in Europe. It is designed as a quick-reference comparison for distinguishing belief, gravity, and managed-variable continuation. This visual is part of the Ordering Case Notes companion visual series.
