Persistent Identity Modeling as a Formation Process: A Research Direction Concept Note
Abstract
This concept note records a research direction pivot following peer review of the NOIRÉA architectural framework. It establishes Persistent Identity Modeling (PIM) formation as an independent research object: rather than first proposing a defense, this note asks how PIM forms, when it becomes measurable, and whether it is observable in real adaptive systems using publicly available physiological data. Includes formal hypothesis definition, experimental design using BCI Competition IV Dataset 2a, and the PIM Formation Curve methodology (tracking task accuracy vs. identity probe accuracy across cross-session adaptation steps). This note does not present experimental results; it records the research direction and establishes intellectual priority for the PIM formation research question.
