Abstract

This is the fifteenth paper of a series that redescribes physical reality as a causally consistent history of information updates, and the closing panel of its third triptych - reference, then testimony, then objectivity. The thirteenth paper fixed, inside a history with no global interpreter, what a single token is of, separating a standing representation architecture from target-relative provenance and apparent content from referent from full content. The fourteenth lifted that account to a community with no global translator, typing co-reference, agreement, faithful transmission, testimonial warrant, and objective corroboration as separately typed, pairwise, frame- and translation-path-relative relations, and deferring to this panel both a network-wide treatment of invariance and a collective non-self-undermining condition. This paper asks what referential-content and evidential structure is invariant across an admissible family of embedded perspectives, schemes, translations, grains, structure signatures, and record architectures. It argues that objectivity is neither the elimination of perspective nor agreement among the actual observers, but the preservation of a declared structure across a predeclared, composable, translation-coherent, and challenge-open family, with no vantage outside the history that possesses or certifies it. Its contribution is threefold. First, it develops a typed architecture of invariance: an objectivity specification that must be declared before an objectivity claim is well posed; perspectives related by a network of history-internal partial transformations that may be lossy, non-unique, and non-invertible; distributed claim structures in place of equivalence classes; and objectivity as claim-relative invariance that separates comparison grain from structure signature and is checked by edge compatibility, path coherence, cycle consistency, and comparison coverage. Second, it separates axes from grades. Representational, evidential, and corrective objectivity form a profile, kept distinct from one another and from veridicality. Six cumulative diagnostic grades order intra-architecture robustness through challenge-expansion stability. The framework distinguishes invariance across actual observers from invariance across the admissible family and separates the status of the invariant structure from the admissibility of the specification used to assess it. Third, it provides two collective lifts: an embedded, bridge-mediated, axis-indexed attribution of objectivity, kept type-distinct from the evaluator-independent claim it concerns; and a Collective Non-Self-Undermining Condition governing the testimonial warrant of the support-bearing reports on which a community's theory support depends. The scope is bounded. There is no global vantage. Objectivity is axis-, family-, grain-, structure-, and domain-relative, branch-relative in the no-collapse implementation adopted here, and tested for coherence across admissible paths rather than relativized to any one of them. Invariance certifies neither correspondence, nor veridicality, nor freedom from every shared systematic error. The paper offers a specification framework for objectivity rather than a complete metaphysics of objectivity, a theory of truth, or a proof of realism.
