The Ontological Probability Framework (OPF): Deriving the Laws of Physics, the Periodic Table, and Thermodynamics from Probabilistic-Ontological Principles with Zero Free Parameters
Abstract
The Ontological Probability Framework (OPF) is a foundational theoretical program that derives the laws of physics, the periodic table, and thermodynamics from probabilistic-ontological principles with zero free parameters. Rather than a theory of everything, it is a theory of the origin of laws: blind principles producing a rigorous order they do not perceive. From a single geometric foundation, the framework recovers the established laws and yields parameter-free predictions that are theoretically derived yet empirically testable. Record of Deposit and Independent Timestamping This work was deposited and independently timestamped on 2026-06-23. Public records: Zenodo (CERN) doi:10.5281/zenodo.20818104; OSF (COS) doi:10.17605/OSF.IO/FMYBG. Cryptographic timestamp (OpenTimestamps, Bitcoin blockchain): English corpus block 954988, Arabic corpus block 954984. Each file's existence prior to the stated date is independently verifiable against the Bitcoin blockchain via the corresponding .ots proof. Note on the second English edition (v2, 2026-07-12): This edition applies editorial and typographic corrections, linguistic refinements, and improvements to the presentation of the derivations, together with a limited number of numerical updates — without any change to the framework's principles, structure, or zero-free-parameter method. It was independently timestamped on the Bitcoin blockchain (block 957624); full SHA-256 hashes for both the original and the second-edition files are recorded in provenance_v2.txt. The framework recognizes three structural contributors at its roots: Isaac Newton, Ludwig Boltzmann, and Max Planck. Its three languages follow the same order — English, German, and Arabic — each in recognition of a contributor: English for Newton, German for Boltzmann and Planck, Arabic for the author. The English and Arabic editions are deposited here; the German edition is in preparation.
