The Brain That Remains: A Framework for Neuroplasticity, Residual Capacity, and Open-Source Protocol Design in Complex Neurodegenerative Disease
Abstract
The Brain That Remains is a hypothesis-generating framework paper introducing the Regenerative Loop, residual-capacity hypothesis, APPRE architecture, and open-source protocol design logic underlying the RAY-VASC Regenerative Loop Research Program. The manuscript proposes a structured research architecture for evaluating residual neural capacity, multidomain measurement, safety monitoring, confounder annotation, caregiver-supported reporting, open-science governance, and future ethics-governed N-of-1 or small-series implementation in complex neurodegenerative and neurovascular phenotypes. This framework does not report clinical outcomes, claim treatment efficacy, claim disease modification, claim PSP reversal, claim dementia reversal, claim vascular lesion repair, claim brain repair, claim recovery, or provide medical instructions. Controlled-substance-related content, where referenced, is limited to lawful, clinician-governed, ethics-approved research architecture and does not include sourcing, preparation, dosing, administration, conversion, procurement, or self-use instructions. This work is intended as a public, citable framework manuscript supporting qualified review, critique, replication planning, and future ethically governed protocol development.
