Empire MOL Public Verification Pack v0.1.0 (2026-06-23)
Abstract
Empire MOL Public Verification Pack v0.1.0 is a public decoder and verification release for selected Empire-signed .mol archives. Quick start:1. Extract the ZIP.2. Open 1_VERIFY.3. Double-click verify.bat.4. Verified decoded outputs will be generated locally in 2_RESULTS/decoded and checked against declared SHA-256 values. This pack follows a guided review path:START_HERE -> 1_VERIFY -> 2_RESULTS/decoded -> 3_RECEIPTS -> 4_LICENSE_SECURITY -> 5_SOURCE_OPTIONAL This release includes a Rust public decoder/verifier, signed .mol sample archives, public verification key material, expected SHA-256 values, verification scripts, and proof/receipt documentation. The purpose of this pack is intentionally narrow: a third party can verify the signed sample archives, decode them, restore the files, and confirm that the decoded outputs match the declared SHA-256 values exactly. This pack does not ship decoded/restored outputs. Running the verifier generates decoded outputs locally for inspection and hash verification. This release is not the Empire encoder, not a free-to-reimplement RFC/specification, and not the full commercial benchmark/result bank. The encoder, private signing keys, full production method, and larger result bank remain closed. Empire uses established compression components inside a higher-level orchestration and verification system. This public release proves the restoration-integrity path for the included signed sample set. Claim boundary:This pack proves public verification and SHA-256 round-trip restoration for the included signed sample archives only. It does not claim universal superiority, arbitrary-input compression performance, or broad benchmark dominance. Any included synthetic/control originals are included only for round-trip verification behavior, not as compression-result claims.
