Abstract

This repository contains annual global trade-adjusted methane emissions from rice cultivation over the period 1990–2023. Trade-adjusted methane emissions from rice cultivation was estimated by combining production-based methane emissions from the EDGAR inventory with bilateral rice trade statistics from FAOSTAT. The dataset accompanies the manuscript "International trade substantially reshapes methane emissions from rice cultivation"
