Code for analysis and validation of SWOT High-Rate Raster data over Antarctic Ice Shelves
Abstract
We provide code for analysis and reproduction of figures described in: Howard, S. L., Katz, Z. S., Padman, L., Siegfried, M. R., Abrahams, E., & Snow, T. M. (2026). SWOT High-Rate Raster Data Reveals Antarctic Ice Shelf Motion and Change in Response to Ocean and Ice Dynamics. Geophysical Research Letters, accepted. The goal of Howard et al. (2026) was to illustrate the potential applications of SWOT High-Rate Raster data over the Antarctic Ice shelves. We provide a step-by-step method to process files, apply necessary corrections, and recreate figures from the paper. Corresponding to the paper figures, the code provides an example of the validation of SWOT HR Raster using ICESat-2 ATL06 data, the application of necessary corrections, and examples of ice shelf processes that can be observed with SWOT HR Raster data.
