Abstract

Validator Portable v1.0 is the open, local and portable reference implementation of the Canal Transparency Protocol (PTC/CTP). It enables users to create and verify cryptographically linked declarations describing the participation of artificial intelligence in the production, revision or transformation of a document. The implementation verifies documentary integrity, the formal consistency of the PTC declaration and technical conformance with the normative protocol. Validator operates entirely in the user’s browser. Documents are processed locally and are not uploaded to a server. The portable edition can be opened directly from the downloaded package and used without installation, user accounts or external processing services. Main capabilities: • Creation of extended PTC declarations. • Verification of the three normative SHA-256 hashes. • Preservation of the original source file. • Generation of the canonical textual object without PTC. • Generation of the canonical TXT artifact with PTC. • Generation and validation of PTC distribution packages. • Support for TXT, Markdown, DOCX and PDF input adapters, subject to the documented limitations of each format. • Spanish, English and French interfaces. • Compatibility with online and offline use. The three normative hashes protect the canonical document, the PTC declaration and the declared ethical context. This version does not introduce a fourth hash for the complete ZIP distribution package. Validator can provide verifiable evidence within transparency, auditability, document governance and regulatory compliance processes. It does not, by itself, determine whether every declaration is materially true, certify scientific quality, establish legal validity or replace the legal assessment required in a particular context. The implementation conforms to the following normative corpus: • R-01 v1.1 — Canonical textual object, normalization, cryptographic preimages and hash computation. DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.21406620 • PTC-F v1.2 — Functional specification, fields, semantics, canonical serialization and conformance rules. DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.21406680 • ARCH v0.3 — Architecture, adapters, distribution packages, validation states and governance. DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.21406665 Validator was developed through documented human–AI co-creation involving GPT-5.6 Thinking by OpenAI and Claude by Anthropic, with final human review, decision-making and responsibility assumed by Manuel Barrera Anglada.
