Grammar of Time GT-01.5: Primitive Assumptions and Boundary Mysteries
Abstract
Mysteries are not randomly distributed. They accumulate at the edges of primitives. GT-01.5 is a technical explanatory bridge for the Grammar of Time programme. It does not replace GT-01, does not introduce a second Mother Kernel, and does not complete physics. Its purpose is diagnostic: to explain why primitive assumptions generate characteristic mysteries at their operational boundaries, and how those mysteries attach to kernelic and residual projections. The bridge states the Primitive-Boundary Mystery Principle: a primitive may remain successful inside a frozen regime, but when it is measured, transported, refined, globalized, coupled, normalized, or pushed to a limit, its missing genealogy reappears as a boundary mystery. In GT notation, a primitive assumption creates an unexplained closure Cl_P; at the boundary partial Cl_P, the non-reabsorbed residue D'_P is the mystery generated by that primitive. GT-01.5 maps the Mother Cascade into technical bridge objects. Successful return gives the kernelic route: response germs, compatibility, generator, kernel, normalized restitutability, cost, and observable readings. Stable non-return gives the residual/index route: residue, support, obstruction, index, fixed reading. Mutism is quotiented out. The document uses GT-03, GT-04, and GT-05 as examples: Born/probability as a mystery at the boundary of primitive probability; metric/distance as a mystery at the boundary of primitive metric; gauge/connection as a mystery at the boundary of primitive connection. These examples illustrate the common diagnostic pattern that sector modules must then derive, declare, or declassify case by case. A boundary mystery is the non-reabsorbed residue of a primitive whose genealogy was not declared. This is a technical bridge note, version v1.0, and has not been peer-reviewed.
