Abstract

This dataset supports the systematic review article "ESG and the Green Economy in Emerging Markets: A Systematic Review of Mechanisms, Dynamics, and Drivers for SDG Acceleration", which synthesises evidence from eleven (11) empirical studies examining how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and green economy initiatives influence Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) outcomes in emerging markets. The geographic scope spans diverse emerging economy contexts including Indonesia, ASEAN countries, BRICS nations, China, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, with study periods ranging from 1995 to 2023. The dataset includes the following supplementary files: Supplementary Document 1: PRISMA 2020 Checklist Supplementary Document 2: Risk of Bias Assessment Criteria and Results Supplementary Document 3: Full Data Extraction Form (including extracted study characteristics and key findings) All files are available under a Creative Commons Zero (CC0 1.0) license.
