Abstract

A collection of tutorials for accessing, filtering, and analyzing data from NASA's Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) mission. The cookbook covers mission background, geospatial coordinate transforms, interactive visualization, and disciplinary workflows for land ice and snow depth applications. Tutorials are designed to lower the barrier to ICESat-2 data use by providing reproducible, cloud-ready examples built on open-source Python tools including icepyx, SlideRule, geopandas, and xarray.
