Abstract

This repository contains all supplementary files needed to reproduce the results in Kremer et al. 2026 for our COSMIC population synthesis models of Galactic white dwarf mergers. All white dwarf merger files (WDmergers...hdf) and LISA band files (LISA_f3...hdf) can be downloaded from Zenodo: 10.5281/zenodo.19615369. The WDmerger files are 4x4x15=240 file set, comprising the four different COSMIC populations (fiducial, alpha0.25, alpha5, and q3) and the four different white dwarf combination groups (10_10, 11_10, 11_11, and 12_10_12), each divided into 15 metallicity bins. On Zenodo, these are grouped into four tarballs corresponding to each of the four COSMIC models (each tarball contains 60 files). We use the same organization for the LISA_f3 files. Further information can be found on the Zenodo page and in the paper. All figures in the paper can be computed using the python notebook included here. We also include here two files ('direct_impact_boundary.dat' and 'disk_boundary.dat') which are needed to recreate our assumed boundaries between disk accretion, direct impact accretion, and dynamically-unstable mass transfer. See Kremer et al. 2026 for further discussion of these boundaries.
