Abstract

This is an outdated version of this dataset. Please refer to the latest version (v1.1, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.22683632) for the current, unified classification layer and documentation. Vector polygon maps delineating the spatial distribution of two newly classified rainforest community types — Gully rainforest ('Hawkesbury Warm Sheltered Gully Rainforest') and Bench rainforest ('Hawkesbury Subtropical-Dry Bench Rainforest') — within the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area (GBMWHA), New South Wales, Australia. This dataset accompanies the article: Bendall E, Wong V, Bell S, Gallagher R. Identification of distinctive new rainforest communities in the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, Australia. Vegetation Classification and Survey. https://doi.org/10.3897/VCS.186732. It complements the R code and field survey data archived separately at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.19656546. These maps will additionally be archived on the NSW State Environmental Data Archive (SEED) upon completion of data provider review. Maps are subject to revision and change with new data and will be updated when required.
