Abstract

This dataset contains an IFC model of the Restage demonstrator on the Reference Construction Site at RWTH Aachen Campus Melaten. The site is located at Maria-Lipp-Strasse, 52074 Aachen. The model represents the site layout and the detailed IFC structure of the demonstrator. The demonstrator is composed mainly of three construction component groups: concrete, timber, and steel. The IFC model includes individual building elements, element assemblies, and schedule-related information describing construction or assembly activities and their actual completion times. Building element instance name for this data is structurally aligned with the principle of DIN EN ISO 19650-2: {component_group}_{level}_{element_type}_{suffix} where:- component_group indicates the main construction package or material group, e.g. CON for concrete, TIM for timber, or STL for steel;- level indicates the building level, e.g. 00, 01, or 02;- element_type indicates the element category, e.g. BEAM, COLUMN, WALL, SLAB, or FOUNDATION;- suffix is an optional identifier used to distinguish repeated elements of the same type. For example, TIM_01_BEAM_001 refers to a timber beam on level 01. The dataset was compiled from models and information provided by different project partners and was subsequently reviewed and modified using Blender Bonsai. The model is provided for research and demonstration purposes, especially for BIM-based construction planning, assembly sequencing, linked building data workflows, and construction digitalisation use cases. The dataset was colleced during the TARGET-X research project, funded by the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) under Horizon Europe (Grant Agreement number 101096614). Co-funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the other granting authorities. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them. The dataset was annotated and restructured as part of the CARE Future Technologies Experimental Construction Site within the Cluster of Excellence CARE — Climate-Neutral and Resource-Efficient Construction, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) under Germany's Excellence Strategy – EXC 3115 – 533767731
