The Luminous Prosperity Public Claims Guide: Instrument 04 of the Luminous Governance Framework
Abstract
Overclaim is a governance failure, not a marketing decision. Instrument 04 of the Luminous Governance Framework binds marketing, sales, support, documentation, investor communication, press, conference talks, podcast appearances, social media, third-party agencies, and the founder personally to the same epistemic standard the product is held to. Its governing insight is that every constraint in a well-governed AI architecture can be defeated by a single sentence on a landing page: if the product says this is one perspective and the homepage says discover who you really are, the homepage wins, because the user read it first. The instrument is a binding specification rather than a brand-voice document. It provides: The Four Claim Tests — an operable decision procedure (evidence, reversal, vulnerable-reader, authority) with a binary output, where failure of any single test blocks publication; Categorical Prohibitions covering therapeutic and clinical benefit claims, diagnosis and symptom reduction, outcome guarantees, claims that a system “knows” or “reveals” who someone really is, scientific-validation claims for contested developmental instruments, superiority over human practitioners, testimonials implying typical results, urgency and scarcity framing, and any claim that a developmental position is a rank; a Required-Language Register of twenty-one paired PROHIBITED / REQUIRED / WHY rows drawn from real consciousness-technology marketing patterns, immediately usable by a copywriter; required framing for describing AI systems as advisory rather than authoritative, probabilistic rather than definitive, a lens rather than a mirror, with a pre-cleared standard description; honest-description rules for Spiral Dynamics, Integral/AQAL, IFS-informed parts work, Kegan’s constructive-developmental theory, and Luminous Holonics, including a required validation-status sentence; a full section on investor and fundraising communication, where overclaim actually originates; a substantiation-file requirement (no entry, no claim); a correction protocol with defined windows, same-channel correction at comparable prominence, and explicit protection for junior staff flagging the founder; and pre-publication review thresholds under Governance Circle jurisdiction that cannot be waived for a launch, a quarter, or a funding round. Released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 so that any organization may fork it and hold its own founder to it.
