Abstract

Model results presented in Wollesen de Jonge et al. (2026): Model results from all the simulations presented in Wollesen de Jonge et al. (2026) have been saved in .mat files in the folders BaseCase, TEMP, WS, PRCP, SST, DMS, NHx, CLOUD, and Chem. These files contain the following variables: time [h]: Simulation timeconc [#/cm3]: Concentrations of all gas phase and aqueous phase species. Names_gas: Names and index of all gas phase and aqueous phase species. Dp [m]: Aerosol particle geometric mean diameters.dNdlogDp [#/m3]: Particle number size distributions.PM_SO4 [μg/m3]: Sulfate particle mass.PM_CH3SO3 [μg/m3]: Methane sulfonic acid (MSA) particle mass.PM_NH4 [μg/m3]: Ammonium particle mass.PM_NO3 [μg/m3]: Nitrate particle mass.PM_Cl [μg/m3]: Chloride particle mass. PM_Na [μg/m3]: Sodium particle mass. DMS multiphase chemistry mechanism This repository contains the full DMS multiphase oxidation mechanism used in Wollesen de Jonge et al. (2026). The DMS mechanism is identical to the one presented in the supplementary Tables S1 and S2 in Wollesen de Jonge et al. (2026). The DMS_chem.def file contains all reactions and reaction rate coefficients.
