The tick: Newtonian gravity and the radial acceleration relation as two occupations of one process
Abstract
Open gap: Newtonian gravity and the galactic radial acceleration relation (RAR) are usually treated as separate regimes, patched by a fitted interpolating function. This longform companion argues they are the empty and occupied states of one elementary transition of a massive body. The interpolator is Bose occupation of that mode, not a fitted μ. The scale a0 = c H0 / 2π is a named thermal match. At that fixed scale SPARC fits as well as at MLS’s published a0, with ordinary stellar mass-to-light. Gaia DR4 can test a preregistered approximately +11% wide-binary signature. This record is the laboratory notebook the Letter cannot be: forcing path, graveyard of failed routes, transit Hamiltonian, inertia versus mobility, and the SPARC protocol of record. Cosmology and clusters are not claimed. Companion Letter framing is preserved in the deposited PDF set; reproduction package: 10.5281/zenodo.21982929.
