Abstract

This record deposits Consequence-Bearing Transition Phase Model and Closure Obligations: Commit, Attachment, Continuation, Interruption, Preservation, Compensation, and Durable Closure, together with subordinate Commercial Companion Note 14, Transition Closure and Residual-Obligation Readiness Review.Record DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21990123. The companion is a subordinate file within this record and carries no independent DOI.The governing paper defines a typed, partial-order phase model for consequence-bearing transitions. It separates event markers, intervals or postures, canonical determinations, action dispositions, and closure obligations. Execution request and start do not establish commit; commit does not establish consequence attachment; attachment does not establish effect completion; and completion does not establish closure. Event markers may coincide or be absent, but consequence attachment must not precede an eligible commit. The paper inherits the deposited A AND C AND I AND R commit-eligibility conjunction and the six canonical determination states VALID, INVALID, INSUFFICIENT, CONFLICTED, EXPIRED, and NOT ESTABLISHED. REFUSE, HOLD, INTERRUPT, COMPENSATE, PRESERVE, ESCALATE, NOTIFY, and TRANSFER are action dispositions, not determination states. Interruption, compensation, preservation, escalation, notification, and transfer are separately admissible transitions rather than labels that repair the original transition.Closure is treated as an evidence-bounded claim for a declared scope. A closure determination is VALID only where every applicable closure obligation is discharged with evidence or transferred through an identified, accepted, authorized, and adequately supported handover. A task marked done, ticket closed, control activated, message sent, recipient named, or timeout reached does not by itself establish closure. Later applicability loss can defeat attachment, continuation, preservation, or closure without retroactively rewriting a historically proper commit. The model is instantiated across maritime remote operation, insurance or automated financial action, and multi-hop agent delegation. Its limited contribution is the composition of typed lifecycle categories, partial-order event separation, non-retroactivity, branch-as-new-transition discipline, and a strict closure predicate. It does not claim invention of transaction phases, workflow states, saga compensation, rollback, event sourcing, causal ordering, incident response, digital evidence preservation, handover, or closure practice.Commercial Companion Note 14 is a public buyer-facing specification for a Transition Closure and Residual-Obligation Readiness Review. Its modules include a Phase and Event Map, Attachment Point Register, Branch Transition Record, Residual-Obligation Ledger, Handover and Accepted-Transfer Record, Closure Evidence Matrix, and Gap and Remediation Register. An optional private implementation pack may be licensed separately; customer templates, calibrated thresholds, scoring or pricing methods, clauses, connectors, automation schemas, test procedures, reviewer instructions, and private red-team methods are not part of this deposit. This record should be read with the governing Applicability Boundary Doctrine baseline DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19425317, the Corpus Continuity and Canon Policy Record DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21983371, the Semantic Crosswalk and Type-Separation Canon Locks DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21985437, the Commit-Time Admissibility Preconditions DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21987027, the Reflexive Admissibility record DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21987654, and the immediately preceding The Commit-Time Conjunction DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21988251. It does not determine causation, liability, breach, aggregation, reserve, indemnity, regulatory compliance, legal discharge, or whether an obligation has been transferred as a matter of law.Rights: GotoCalm Applicability Doctrine Terms of Use.
