Abstract

This dataset is containing the data presented in the paper "Projecting the evolution of the Northern Patagonian Icefield until the year 2200" published in The Cryosphere in 2026. The Spinups.zip file contains the resulting 3D geometries of the Northern Patagonian Icefield after a 500 year spinup run with the nine different parameter combinations, presented in Table 1 of the paper. The parameter set cal2 was chosen for the paper and the results of the corresponding spin-up run are presented in Figure 3 and 4 of the paper. The Calibration.zip file contains 2d fields of the icefield obtained during the 20 year calibration period (2000-2020) for the same parameter set (cal2). These files were used to evaluate the runs during the calibration runs and the results of this evaluation are presented in Table 1 of the paper. A visual comparison of the measured and modelled elevation changes is presented in Figure 5. The Comitted.zip file contains the results of the commited mass los run. The time series of the ice volume of this run is presented in Figures 6 and 9 of the paper. The 2d fields of this simulations are not shown in the paper, but were stored every 50 years ( 2000,2050,2100,2150,2200). The Projections.zip file contains the results of the projection runs under climate change scenarios for the icefield. The results of these simulations are presented in the Figures 6,7,8,9,A2 and A3 of the paper.
