Porifera COX/PTGS-like candidates: data and reproducibility package

This dataset supports the manuscript “Integrative genome and transcriptome mining identifies a diverse repertoire of cyclooxygenase/prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase-like candidates in Porifera” by Sebastiano Scibelli (Independent researcher, 2026). The archive contains candidate protein and coding sequences, genomic gene models, transcriptomic support and reconstructed transcripts, similarity-search and reciprocal-annotation results, domain and functional-residue analyses, host-attribution and paralogy assessments, phylogenetic datasets, alignments, raw unrooted trees, branch-support analyses, publication figures and source data, supplementary tables, versioned scripts, software parameters, provenance records and SHA-256 manifests. The deposited classifications concern putative COX/PTGS-like homologues and do not demonstrate enzymatic activity, substrate specificity or prostaglandin biosynthesis.
