The Instrument Deck
Abstract
The Instrument Deck is the working layer of the Heartbeat Framework: every worksheet, checklist and instruction sheet from the published estate, lifted intact from the papers and bound in the order a deployment actually meets them. The papers argue; these pages do. Eight instruments, one sequence — assess at the gate, measure over time, record beyond amendment: 1 · BEFORE — The Readiness Gate: ten observable pre-deployment checks and four red lines (Before the Machine, 10.5281/zenodo.21445040) 2 · ASSESS — The AI Interaction Risk Screen v1.1 and Change-Over-Time Log (10.5281/zenodo.21357450) 3 · SPECIFY — The Character Specification template and Character Vitals (The Character Pathway, 10.5281/zenodo.21249771) 4 · OVERSEE — The onboarding worksheet, shift card and oversight templates (The Overseer's Bible, 10.5281/zenodo.21279944) 5 · TRIAL — The Floor Test capture sheets: baseline and day-90 vitals, weekly log, the one-page return (10.5281/zenodo.21445071) 6 · AUDIT — The Damping Audit: the walk, the nine indicators, the rolling panel (10.5281/zenodo.21455540) 7 · MEASURE — The AI Interaction Outcome Profile (AIOP): administration and forms, 26 self-report and 18 observer items across six domains (After the Machine, 10.5281/zenodo.21515932) 8 · RECORD — The Glass Ledger: anatomy of a tamper-evident entry (10.5281/zenodo.21515861) Every instrument page is a verbatim facsimile of its published record. Sources were downloaded from Zenodo and md5-verified against Zenodo's own recorded checksums before extraction; each section opens with a divider carrying the parent document and its DOI, so a photocopy of this deck still cites itself. The Risk Screen appears at its published version (v1.1); v1.2 is in structured review and supersedes on publication. The arguments, evidence and limits behind these pages live in the estate — start with the reading map, 10.5281/zenodo.21516401.
