The Dial and the Axis: An Irreducible-Bias Perspective on Dynamic Alignment in Allocation Settings
Abstract
PRE-GHR Spinout A -- independent record outside the main-sequence numbering; cited by title. A dynamic-alignment dial is commonly described as amplitude control; this paper argues it is direction control within a coordinate system defined by anchor points. Formal objects: value space, anchor set, anchor-constrained mechanism, worst-case irreducible bias B*_sup. Main result (proved): B*_sup >= codim_A(D) -- a two-anchor representation carries irreducible bias on any domain whose neutral reference stands off the anchor span: the 'third color' intuition as a checkable inequality. Design consequence: amplitude range caps do not bind direction; the load-bearing element is an accumulated-directional-displacement interlock that locks the dial instead of letting the core be drawn out. Status declaration (honest-iteration commitment): v1 of an intentionally iterative record. Review: round 1 (Kimi, 2026-08-22) applied. The four-party review (Kimi/GPT/Zhipu/Qwen) is INCOMPLETE at v1 -- the GPT review channel is temporarily unavailable; remaining reviews will land in v2. Unproved claims are marked candidate. Scope discipline: no political position is taken or implied; binary label spaces appear only as examples of low-dimensional anchor representations. Contributors (three-level annotation): conception & adjudication -- Wang, M.; drafting & structural analysis -- Hermes Agent (Nous Research; API model DeepSeek v4 Flash); review round 1 -- Kimi (Editor); system record -- EntropyRuntime ledger (data). Companion records (joint release 2026-08-22, cited by title, DOIs assigned at publication): Visible Adjustments (Spinout B); Drift Under Audit (Spinout C).
