Physical Grand Unification of Number-Theoretic Prime Spaces and Geometric Hyperbolic Surfaces: Classification of Universes via Fusion with the Selberg Zeta Function
Abstract
Part of the Abhandlungen Program (Adelic Physics) In this paper (Abhandlung IV), the theory of the self-adjoint operator on the adelic space established in the preceding works is extended to the entire universe, achieving a complete physical grand unification of the realm of pure number theory (the Riemann zeta function) and the realm of smooth Riemannian geometry (the Selberg zeta function). In traditional number theory, the Euler product of the Riemann zeta function is composed of discrete "primes p," whereas the Selberg zeta function in hyperbolic geometry is composed of the "lengths ℓ of closed geodesics" on continuous negatively curved surfaces; both have been treated as independent trace formulas. This paper physically proves that the dynamical systems of these two entirely different universes are nothing but "different geometric coordinate representations" of the 1-dimensional adelic point-interaction Hamiltonian (Adelic Hamiltonian ℋtotal). Furthermore, the "conductor q," an algebraic character associated with general automorphic L-functions, is redefined as the "depth of the effective potential" or "atomic number Z" in physics, uniquely determining the scaling law of zero density as the natural frequency of a chaotic dynamical system. Through this framework, the Langlands Program, the highest peak of modern number theory, is completely subsumed and grand-unified as the "harmonic oscillation of prime atoms (spectral periodic table)" resounding on the adelic quantum graph. Related Work: This fundamental unification framework directly enables the dynamical resolution of the Sato-Tate conjecture, including its application to Maass wave forms, as demonstrated in Abhandlung XIII.
