BIA extension to RiC-O 1.1 (biax:)
Abstract
Extension ontology of the Buddhadasa Indapanno Archives (BIA, Bangkok, Thailand) on top of ICA Records in Contexts Ontology (RiC-O) 1.1 - 7 classes, 19 properties and 2 named individuals (28 terms) covering concepts the standard has no vocabulary for in a Thai Buddhist context, e.g. monastic ordination and royal title conferral events, where a monk's appellation changes with each title. Every class is a proper rdfs:subClassOf of a RiC-O class and the ontology owl:imports RiC-O 1.1. Canonical IRI and documentation: https://id.bia.or.th/ns The ontology is used in production by the Archives' public knowledge graph (about 100,000 triples describing 1,378 manuscript items, 334 digitised books, and a curated layer of life events, persons and dhamma concepts) and its question-answering service at https://www.buddhadasa.org/ask/ License: CC BY 4.0, matching RiC-O upstream, declared in the file itself (dcterms:license on the ontology node).
