Abstract

We present a first-principles derivation of the charged fermion mass spectrum and the electroweak scale within the N.E.A. (Network Emergent Architecture) framework. The central physical insight is that mass is trapped rent — equivalently, trapped bandwidth. The C8 cubic scaffold has cycle-space dimension B1 = E - V + 1 = 12 - 8 + 1 = 5, which decomposes into a transverse sector of dimension 2, carrying propagating electromagnetic phase, and a longitudinal sector of dimension 3, carrying trapped bandwidth. Under the finite-bandwidth constraint, normalized as the Being Tax B = 1, each trapped edge consumes one unit of bandwidth. A completely locked defect therefore acquires the mass factor m = E_trap, where E_trap is the number of trapped edges. From this single mechanism, all six quark mass factors emerge: m_u = 1+π, m_d = 3π, m_s = 2π², m_c = 12, m_b = 10/3, m_t = 18. The charged lepton mass factors are obtained from Platonic-solid invariants and the bipartite folded phase measure: m_e = 1, m_μ = 66π, m_τ = 66π · (8π/1.5). These expressions are identical to earlier topological mass-chain candidates, and reproduce the observed charged-fermion masses with sub-percent deviations. The π factors are traced to the bipartite folding of U(1) phase on transverse face cycles, from 2π to π. The integer 66 is identified with the edge number of the K12 complete graph, whose vertex set is the vertex set of the icosahedron, the twelve-vertex Platonic solid. The electroweak scale is then derived as v_h = m_p · α⁻¹ · (6/π) ≈ 245.604 GeV, with deviation 0.25% from experiment. From this single relation, the entire electroweak chain follows: G_F ≈ 1.1722 × 10⁻⁵ GeV⁻², m_W ≈ 80.051 GeV, m_Z ≈ 91.299 GeV, m_h ≈ 122.802 GeV, with deviations of 0.50%, 0.41%, 0.12%, and 1.84%, respectively. Finally, the strong CP angle is shown to vanish identically on the bipartite C8 scaffold: θ_QCD = 0, because every face cycle has equal red and blue vertex contributions, and the total topological charge is zero. No axion is required. We distinguish carefully between theorem-grade results, mechanism definitions, and strong candidates. Quark mass factors are mechanism-derived; charged-lepton factors are Platonic candidates whose combination rules remain partly heuristic. Neutrino masses remain open. The absolute ZY scale remains anchored to the electron mass. This work closes the bridge from the logical primitive to the fermion mass spectrum and the electroweak scale, and provides the missing physical mechanism for the topological mass chain conjectured in earlier N.E.A. volumes. Keywords: mass origin, trapped bandwidth, C8/K4 topology, fermion mass spectrum, electroweak scale, strong CP problem, Platonic solids, discrete causal graph.
