Abstract

The IUP Bremen Regression Model is a graphical tool for estimating long-term trends in monthly atmospheric datasets using multiple linear regression (MLR). It was developed at the Institute of Environmental Physics (IUP), University of Bremen, primarily for the analysis of vertically and geographically resolved ozone time series. The model allows the user to combine trend and intercept terms with atmospheric proxies, seasonal components, user-defined proxies, and optional inflection points. The software was used for the analyses presented in Auffarth et al. (2026).
