UED Reconstruction Programme — Paper 15: Chavan's Limits — The Bounded Persistence of Manifestation
Abstract
Paper 15 opens Phase II — Mathematical Closure of the UED Reconstruction Programme by addressing the unresolved transition from transient Structured Vacuum Energy (SVE) departure to finite persistent manifestation. It introduces Chavan’s Limits as the lower and upper boundaries of the state-space region within which a declared manifestation is dynamically viable. In the general formulation, Chavan’s Limits are not universal scalar constants but boundary hypersurfaces of a manifestation-specific viability set. A one-coordinate reduction produces lower and upper effective-Delta limits whose values may depend on surrounding geometry and boundary conditions. Alignment Threshold Time (ATT) retains its canonical first-passage meaning and is extended to formation and exit from the viability region while remaining distinct from persistence time. Two reduced closure classes are developed. A quartic normal form generates a continuous manifestation branch confined between two limits and predicts near-limit slowing but no finite latent release in a perfectly quasistatic crossing. A sextic metastable normal form permits finite-amplitude persistence to a spinodal boundary, hysteresis, and a finite configuration-energy drop at collapse. Effective inertial mass remains the low-velocity energy-curvature response of an already persistent configuration and therefore becomes a state-dependent property of the manifestation branch rather than an assumed primitive. The paper does not assume a universal mass-energy equivalence law. The Paper-5 finite-scale localization result remains binding: bounded viability alone does not solve three-dimensional persistence. An independently measurable finite-scale stabilizer, nonlocal mechanism, topology, constraint, or dynamically sustained localization process must still be derived. Paper 15 also formulates a channel-complete energy ledger for dissolution and transformation, distinguishes mass, configuration energy, transition energy, ATT, and persistence time, and defines experimental and computational tests capable of discriminating among continuous, metastable, hysteretic, and dynamically sustained closure mechanisms. Chavan’s Limits therefore convert the qualitative idea of bounded manifestation into a falsifiable mathematical closure problem. The remaining task is to derive the viability coordinate, nonlinear SVE dynamics, and finite-scale stabilizer from independently measurable physics rather than insert the persistent branch by assumption.
