The Observer as a Field: Geometric Magnetism of the Locked Inversion, the Time–Shape Crossing, and the Cost Condition on the Tesseract Clock (INDYNA Research Note 34)
Abstract
Note 27 showed that no potential holds the flag universe and that a gyroscopic coupling between the drift sector (ℓ=1, three modes) and the shape sector (ℓ=2, five modes) does; Note 29 derived the observer as the oriented σ-cycle, the only time-odd structure of the model. Here the observer's field is derived rather than postulated. Bridges. The shape sector transforms as spin 2 and the drift sector as spin 1; the gyroscopic term G x is antisymmetric in velocity and time-odd, the form of a Lorentz force; Kelvin–Tait–Chetaev states that the two sectors are holdable only together — read at the level of representations, gravity (spin 2) and electromagnetism (spin 1) are held jointly by the observer's spin. This identification names sectors and force forms; it derives no field equations. Mechanism. Let the fast inversion T↔-T depend adiabatically on the slow radii: the induced force on the slow coordinates is the curvature of the adiabatic connection, closed by construction (Bianchi), sourced by the phase current of the σ-cycle (Note 29: current without mass transport). The inversion mode xyz lies to 0.9996 in a four-fold degenerate class (the icosahedral irrep G of ℓ=3), so the connection is non-abelian (Wilczek–Zee). Result. At the symmetric home the induced field has exactly zero drift–shape coupling for every rotation sense (symmetry forbids it); under cube locking r*+ε xyz the quadruplet splits 1+3, the triplet bundle (tracked continuously by overlap, ≥0.997) acquires a drift–shape coupling linear in ε, and the field has rank 8 and stabilises the world. The required rotation rate falls with locking — 39.3, 9.8, 7.0, 6.5, 5.49 at ε=0.20,0.30,0.40,0.44,0.46 — and rises again at the crossing ε*=0.47999, where the singlet xyz becomes degenerate with the shape class; the crossing is symmetry-protected (types A versus E⊕ T2 under the tetrahedral group, coupling exactly zero, no Krein collision). Mixed time. The locking deformation is σ-odd and mixes time (σ-odd) with present (σ-even) in the inversion mode: 100/0 at the home, 70.3/29.7 at ε*; the present admixed is to 74% the cubic harmonic x4+y4+z4 carried by the face centres — the observer's time takes on the cube's present. The 62 nodes split 16/16/30 into future, past and boundary (the three golden rectangles); the time mode changes sign across the boundary and vanishes on it exactly at ε*, while the present sits 73% on both sides. Cost. The three-dimensional inversion frequency (ω=3.76 at the home, ≈2.85 at the locked point) does not reach the minimal rate 5.49: the observer needs a clock 1.5–2 times faster — the standing wave of the tesseract; the cost question becomes the condition ωtesseract≥5.5 in model units (≥2.66 meV, ≤1.56 ps under breathing =m1), to be decided by the four-dimensional dynamics.
