Computational and Experimental Investigations of Complex Organic Reactions: From Vinylcyclopropanes to Breslow Intermediates
Abstract
This work explores mechanistic aspects from various areas of organic chemistry. The first part focuses on fundamental interactions that lead to regioselective ring openings in cyclopropanes. The second part examines the influence of intramolecular interactions on a ring-opening reaction. The third part investigates the photophysical properties of Breslow intermediates.
