Abstract

Asia is at the forefront of intertwined climate, digital, and societal transitions. Stress-testing the UN Global Risk Report’s perceptions against Asian realities can sharpen regional priorities, improve preparedness where it lags, and catalyse the joint actions the report identifies as most effective. This webinar brings together experts and practitioners to interpret the latest UN findings for the region and examines whether the report meaningfully captures the lived realities and strategic priorities of Southeast Asia, Asia more broadly, and the world. Drawing on the report’s perception survey across 1,100+ stakeholders in 136 countries, the panel will discuss the alignment and gaps between key global “vulnerabilities” such as mis- and disinformation, environmental risks, societal risks, and technological risks, and Asia’s on-the-ground risk landscape. Whether you work in government, industry, academia, or the civic sector, gain actionable insights to inform decision-making and collaboration. The webinar is jointly organised by the [***LRF Institute for the Public Understanding of Risk***](https://ipur.nus.edu.sg/) at the National University of Singapore, [***Risk Sciences***](https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/risk-sciences) and [***World Salon***](https://www.world-salon.com/).
