Abstract

ALR4 (Autosub Long Range) was shorelaunched in June 2024 from Heimaey, Iceland to collect data on behalf of the BIO-CARBON campaign in the Icelandic Basin. ALR4 collected data for two months and was recovered in August 2024 in Harris (Outer Hebrides), Scotland. ALR4 payload included: 1. CTD - Seabird SBE52-MP, 2. Dissolved Oxygen - Seabird SBE43-F, 3. Nitrate - ClearWater Lab-On-Chip (LOC), 4. Phosphate - ClearWater LOC, 5. Silicate - ClearWater LOC, 6. pH - ClearWater LOC, 7. Fast pH - Pyroscience APHOX-LX, 8. Dissolved inorganic carbon - OTE LOC, 9. Total Alkalinity - OTE LOC, 10. Fluorometer - SeaBird FLBBCDRT6K, 11. UVP6 - Hydroptic UVP6, 12. ADCP up - Nortek DVL 500kHz, 13. ADCP down - Nortek DVL 500kHz, 14. Radiometer - TRIOS RAMSES (320-950nm). NOTE: These data are the full resolution recovery data and have had no QC (Quality Control) procedures applied.
